Therapy Services
Individual Therapy Sessions
Experiential | Trauma-informed | Inclusive
C Horses offers mental health services to clients of all ages. We incorporate equine assisted therapy whenever it aligns with our clients’ goals and treatment plans as a meaningful alternative for anyone who finds talk-based therapy challenging. Our recovery-oriented approach is based on evidence-informed therapeutic and experiential learning interventions for clients with C-PTSD and other mental health and psychosocial concerns. This is supported by current research into the integration of treatment in a nature-based, equine-assisted environment to increase engagement and successful outcomes. Sessions are tailored to individual needs, integrating experiential and relational interventions in a way that allows clients to safely explore emotional regulation, psychosocial growth, and self-awareness at their own pace. Our clients are attracted to our eclectic approach, incorporating equine-assisted, walk-and-talk, expressive arts and nature-based activities, where they can explore practical solutions to reach their goals, and learn strategies to help them become more present, empowered and self-regulated. We work with children and young people to build emotional, social, and self-regulation skills; neurodivergent individuals who thrive with supportive, experiential and non-verbal therapeutic approaches; adults, including veterans and first responders, to cultivate resilience, wellbeing and trauma recovery in the context of demanding or high-impact life experiences.
We support:
- Working through trauma, loss, and the impact of moral injury.
- Anxiety, depression, and mood or stress-related challenges.
- Interpersonal, family and relationship issues.
- Emotion regulation, self-esteem, identity, and personal growth.
- Coping with loneliness, isolation, or return-to-workplace pressures.

Group Programs
Psychotherapy | Psychosocial | Experiential Learning
Our group programs provide a solid foundation to navigate stress and trauma and build life skills through experiential learning. Nature-based, creative activities allow a rewiring of the digital brain, and the development of social and emotional resilience. We offer customised group programs for:
- Therapeutic care teams
- First responders and veterans
- School and community groups
Our small-group programs are designed to progressively facilitate growth and meaningful change. Typically, group programs are delivered as six to twelve two-hour weekly sessions. Protocols for integrative trauma therapy are based upon the National recovery-oriented mental health practice framework and follow best-practice equine-assisted therapy approaches. Our programs are co-facilitated by practitioners with specific skills and experience relevant to the needs and demographics of the group.
Enquiries about group programs can be made by contacting us directly via PHONE or EMAIL info@equinetherapysydney.com.
